Had an amazing bluebird day up in Avoriaz today. It hasn’t snowed very much for the past week, but last nights sprinkling made the hill at least look fresh! I am absolutely loving being out in the fresh mountain air and getting abit of exercise.

It’s not quite the healthy lifestyle it should be though, as me and Nadine keep having the bright idea that drinking Sangria for lunch will make us RAD. And it does. And it’s cheaper than fruit juice, which must count for something!

Carrying on the health kick took Parker, Nadine’s pet whippet, down to the river for a nice long walk. Unfortunately managed to get the car stuck. Here is Nade’s description of what happened.

“Liz and I went for a dog walk with the whippet along the river in the forest, it was pretty!

But then we got the car stuck in the snow and spent an hour putting all the foot mats under the wheels to make them grip, but that didn’t work, so we had to start digging the car out with random objects we found in the boot, but that didn’t work, so we got out the jack and jacked the car up – not sure what for really – and that did not work either, we were fucked, in the middle of a field, without a mobile phone between us.

Then, I am pretty sure that we were rescued by Jesus in a Peugeot 206! He came from nowhere, with a shovel he dug, pushed the car and without saying a word, he left, as quickly as he had arrived.

We were saved and drove home to eat ravioli!”
