Have you ever fancied tearing it up off road on a motorbike?  If the answer is yes, as it is for me, then you should get to Wheeldon Off-Road Bike Centre.  On Saturday 5th June, Wheeldon will be hosting a girls only off-road experience day.  Any level of rider is welcome to come and give it a go.

The event is designed to include novice riders through to more experienced riders. As there are two indoor tracks and one outdoor track, this means that no-one is either ‘held back’ or expected to go ‘too far too soon’. The day starts with, as you would expect, a safety briefing and allocation of safety kit followed by tuition on basic controls.

Adult novices start on learner circuit with instruction in the basics such as Start -> Stop, Throttle Control, Gears, leading onto how to do corners, and humps/bumps.  Everyone will then progress onto the main circuit for Off-Road skills.

Experienced Adults start on main circuit (Road riders, etc) and practice Off-Road Skills.

There will be a break at lunch time during which a high carbohydrate lunch (to ensure sufficient energy levels and concentration are maintained) is served in the on-site kitchen area.

The event runs from 9am to 5pm and costs £199.00 per rider.

The cost includes: Bike Hire, Fuel, All Safety Kit, Indoor Arena Starter Track, Indoor Arena Main Track, Outdoor Track, ACU Accredited Coaches, Appropriate Lunch, and Expert Tuition.
