“I left the UK to come america for the summer and have been staying in New Jersey with Alex in a lovely town called Allendale.  I’m about a half hour drive from New York City which is rad so hoping to spend some time there when it cools down as it’s super hot here at the mo!

Since arriving here I’ve started exploring the area….a couple of days ago I went to Harriman State park and rented a boat on the lake and then went to the batting cages to try my hand a a spot of Softball which was so much fun.  I’m going to go back this week and try baseball but the balls come out at 80 mph so I’m a little scared!  Also going to do some rock climbing next week which I’m looking forward to.

Alex is of to NZ for Junior world Olympics in a week so I’m going to travel down to Baltimore, Maryland and see the city as one of my friends is in Law school there.  Not heard to many great things about the city so should be interesting!

Been applying for jobs for the winter, hoping to gain a management position for a ski company in Morzine so finger’s crossed.  Going to also begin working towards my BASI level 3 (ISIA) this winter too and will be doing some speed training throughout the season to prepare me for the Euro test which will be a requirement for level 4 (ISTD).

Going to be back in England for October so will be at London Ski Show and London Freeze.”

So it’s been autumn for the last few months so not much in the way of sun soaked festivals more like rainy grey Melbourne days.

However had some great trips to Bells for surfing, almost drown a couple of times but hey! Been mainly been working on a new TV show called Bright Things TV. www.brightthingstv.com, Doing lots of cool interviews with graffiti artists, fashioned designers and a rad organisations such as Skateistan a charity that teach kids to skateboard in Afghanistan! Also been involved in a film being made about a designer friend of mine that’s being screened at sundance next year so look out USA.

Winter has finally set in so we’re off to hit the slopes at Mt. Hotham from the 14th August to get some snow! Please please let the snow be good over here!

Summer seems to be getting filled up already, we have Falls Festival, Meredith Festival, trips to Wilsons Prom and a girlie surf adventure along the great Ocean Road.  We’ll also be interviewing all the Bright Things out there over the warm summers days and nights.

Then it will be a quick dash back to Paris to see the famille and then the UK to kick in the New Year and catch up with the Girly Leg Crew and my gorgeous friends. Party time!

Its been an amazing summer for me this year (despite the ridiculous  amount of work i have been doing).  I’ve been based with Girly Legs HQ in Plymouth, Devon. For those of you that don’t know it, Plymouth is a truly gorgeous coastal city and it’s been lovely to spend summer only a stones throw away from the beach.

Girly Legs has really taken off these past months and Liz has been glued to her laptop searching for the freshest news, gossips and events! But its not been all work – we’ve had the chance to cover some wicked events such as Download – where ACDC blew my mind away, the One Snowboarding Summer Camp in L2A – was some cheeky summer shreddin and a fantastic way to top up my tan and The Boardmasters which took the Cornish party town, Newquay to a new level with some of the best surfing, skating and live music I’ve seen since, well the last Boardmasters. It’s all been amazing fun especially with the endless amount of BBQ’s and cider – perfect!

With summer coming to an abrupt halt and Autumn looming – its means only two things…… updating the winter wardrobe and a new snowboarding season.

To kick start things off; The Freeze festival is only around the corner – the last two years it has been totally epic and Girly Legs will be providing you with all the hottest gossip and interviews with the super pro’s. Pretty much all the Girly Legs Team will be there, so why not come along, hang out, get your free Girly Legs goody bag and your festival pictures on the website.

Then after the Freeze, for me, there is an unusually long stint of being in the drizzly UK before finally heading out for some play time in the snow in the new year.

Over and out! x

Running Girlylegs has kept me really busy this summer, if I haven’t been cruising around festivals and events, I have been glued to my laptop!  Its really exciting to see how Girlylegs has grown in just this short space of time, and the next few months are going to continue being just as busy.  I will be at The Big Bang competitions as well as the London Ski and Snowboard show and Freeze Festival, EXCITING!  If you see me come and say hi!
