Introducing Product Snowboard — 04 December 2010
INTRODUCING: Sterling Sock Co

British Olympic HalfPipe snowboarder Dan Wakeham has joined arms (or rather, legs) with long time friend and distributor of Grenade, Nick Atkins.  Together they have created a very British snowboard sock company which will not only be keeping your toes toasty but will also put a percentage of its takings back in to the GB snowboard teams and riders.

Although Sterling Sock Co have used the pound symbol in there logo, the meaning runs deeper.    It was named Sterling for the various meanings given to it within the English language -  excellent, first-rate, exceptional etc….

Fancy a little Aimee Fuller on your feet, or perhaps lining your boot with 3 time X Games Gold medalist Jenny Jones will help you stomp that trick?  Ok so they cant promise to give you the powers of the pros, but the socks will be really good at keeping your pads warm.  As well as Aimee and Jennys pro model socks, Ben Kilner and Jamie Nicholls will also get the Sterling treatment.

For each sock sold a percentage will be donated to the GB Freestyle team and then for every pro sock sold a percentage will be donated to the individual pro.

Dan said, ”Samples are in production as we speak. The catalogue isn’t finished yet but we already have shops who are as keen as mustard to get involved in such a worthwhile project”

Samples will be ready in time for the first trade shows of the season so keep your eyes peeled for the sterling line of socks!
