EVENT HISTORY:
The vent started in 2007 in les 3Valleès in France as part of a local initiative dreamed up by a few seasonnaire girls to get more chicks in the park to ride with. The project was creatively named “the Girls Project” and it consisted of video and party nights, a Girlie Camp Day (lessons and a small jam session) and the first ever Sista Sessions in Meribel Moonpark, which had lessons, comptition and a photoshoot. At the time also skier chicks where involved. After a few years break the event returned in 2010 with a new location, the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen, very much running with the same ideology as before, and this time due to the backing of some great partners we have been able to grow the event into something special, and offer some prize money and tangible prizes such as a one year sponsorship to the best non sponsored girl. The 2011 event will be shaped up the same way, with some added features that have been developed based on the feedback of riders. Thanks everyone for supporting the event!

SISTA SESSIONS 2010

JAM SESSIONS
We will invite all girls to join Saturdays  (22.01.10) Jam Sessions which will be held on two basic modules (kicker and a box). There will be on the spot prizes given to the girls performing best on each module. There will be encouragement prizes such as‚ most improved’ and ‚best attitude’. These sessions are meant for all levels.

FREESTYLE TUITION:
Sticking to the roots of the event, Rip Curl Sista Sessions is working with the best local snowboard school called SMT to coach beginner freestyle. This is an opportunity for you to learn some basic tricks and get you started on your way to become the next Torah Bright …well and just to have some fun with like minded people.

There are lessons throughout the event in the afternoons, from the 19-22nd, with as small fun jam session in the end where we will take photos that all the girls will receive to keep and lots of small goodies to be taken home.  So come and join us learn some new tricks or work on the ones you have in the bag already and make some new friends

PHOTOSHOOTS
During the first few days of the event the eight invited riders will go on photoshoots with our Media Partner Photographers. However, there will be opportunities for all you other girls too for photoshoots. The times and obstacles will be confirmed soon, so keep checking up! It will be a perfect opportunity for you to get some shots for your sponsor or just to have a sweet pic to keep on your wall!

PRIZES
The prizegiving will be held in the Vans Penken Park at the end of the Finals on Saturday 22.01.11. Top 6 riders will be
awarded with monetary prizes. This year the Prizepurse is a whopping total of 2500 Euros. There are of course also a whole load of goodies to be won from our sponsors

Best Non Sponsored Rider will receive a one year clothing Sponsorship Deal with Rip Curl that could be the start of an amazing career.

Wild Cards:
- Top5 will receive invitations to the finals of the Austria Cup Tour, the 3Star Shred Down Austrian Masters”
- Winner will be invited to the Final of the Ladies First Challenge Tour in Switzerland, which an invitation only 2Star TTR event with a prize purse of 8000 Swiss Francs.
