Longboard | Girls Workshop At Hogtoberfest, Hog Hill

On 15th/16th October 2011, Hog Hill will yet again play host to a DownHill extravaganza.  The guys at Hog Hill will be bringing all the downhill disciplines together for a huge freeride jam with the extra element of workshop; Hog Hill is ideal for teaching as it has a range of gradients to start people off on without it becoming scary.

Helena from XSS has offered to do a girl-centric workshop during the weekend to focus on whatever participants want! She will be taking a break from her usual tight heelside slides to bring everyone together in a less testosterone charged environment.

“It’s been recognised for a while the male/female styles and stances (hence the rayne isis and other similar smaller-wheelbase boards) and to make the most of this I feel this kinda session will be beneficial, so drop in and say hi and do some skating! We had a similar session at a HogHill last year that went down very well!”

They hope everyone will come away with new skills; University clubs are encouraged to bring their freshers along, and crews or individuals to bring friends who want to learn or need a booster before setting off down the big hill! Evenings will have a party atmosphere, and the two days will be solid stoke for the downhill sports!

New faces are really really welcome, so if you fancy getting stoked on DownHill this is a great way to do it and meet people!  There is camping available so you can enjoy the entire weekend.  Head over to the website now to book your place!
