This weekend saw an onslaught of skateboard wielding girls cross the border into Scotland, ready to wage war at the final event of the Ladies Skateboard Series 2011. The Transition Skatepark in Aberdeen played host to the epic battle, which saw over 20 girls enter, ready to shred together.

Three girls at a time got 6 minutes to show their stuff in a bid to qualify.  As with all the legs of this years series, the standard of skating was fantastic with the Scottish contingent really coming on this year!

Six girls made it through to the finals: Helena Long & Lois Pendlebury in jam 1, Emily Russel & Emma Richardson in jam 2 and Lucy Adams & Julia Brueckler in jam 3.

Overall series winner Lucy Adams was stoked to see how well everyone was riding “Julia is from Austria and had mega pop and steez. Helena got tech over the hip. Lois flowed around using the quarters to revert and slide. Emily and Emma used the whole park and pushed it with the powerful styles. Was rad.

Helen Lovelee was there helping people make their own Tee’s and caps…check the footage! Thanks to Lois, Danni and Lauren, and the sponsors!”

Results for the Peaches and Cream Event:
