Snowboard | Kate Foster’s Halfpipe Plans

Kate FosterBritish Halfpipe Snowboarder Kate Foster was one of the first people the Girlylegs website followed when we first started it.  We thought it was high time we caught up with her to find out what her plans are for this coming season.

“This season I’ll be based in Aosta Italy riding Pila’s park and Cervinia’s halfpipe – so I’ve been attempting to learn some Italian over the summer …. But as you can imagine I’m not quite fluent yet! My first stop will be Avoriaz, there’s a Halfpipe competition there on the 11th, so looking forward to that – fingers crossed they get some snow!

So competition wise I’m doing the O’Neill Evolution in Davos in January and the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo which I’m soo excited about! Never been to Norway so that’ll be amazing! And of course the Brit’s and hopefully sneak the Euro Open in there!

In between comps  I’m coaching on the Why Ain’t You Jibbin Freestyle Camps, we’re running loads of junior camps over the school holidays during the season! Pretty good fun! You can check them out on www.whyaintyoujibbin.com or the Why Ain’t You Jibbin company page on facebook.

I’ll keep ya posted during the season with results and any fun stuff I come across!

I don’t have any new pics for ya yet, didn’t get much snowboarding in over the summer, was too busy riding dirtbikes! Hope to see you on the snow sometime this season?!
