India Stephenson

India Stephenson has been riding with the British Freestyle Snowboarding team for the past two years, and we thought it was high time we caught up with her.

When did you first strap on a snowboard?
I first strapped on a snowboard when I was 14. My family and some friends went to our local mountain and rented snowboards for a laugh. I was hooked!

How long have you been doing freestyle?
I starting riding freestyle as soon as I was able to shred around the mountain, probably at age 15 I started riding in the baby park and quickly progressed.

How long have you been part of the British Team?
This is my second year on the British Team.

How is it training with the British Team?
Training with the British Team is awesome! Its really fun to travel around Europe and train with them.

Who have you been shredding with?
I’ve been out in Breckenridge for the last week shredding Keystone Resort with Basa Stevulova and Tini Gruber

What competitions are you doing this year?
I think I’m keeping it pretty mellow this year with competitions. But I’d like to do a few four star TTR events in the US then do some of the Burton Opens.

What are your season plans? Any trips that you are real excited about?
I’m planning on staying in Breckenridge for a while, maybe a trip to Mammoth or Tahoe too, then heading to Europe to ride Mayrhofen. I’m really excited to go with DC if they do a DC trip to area 43 in Meribel.
